Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, M.K. Shivakoti came to the United States when he was nineteen. Over the years, he has worked as a teacher, a salesman, a receptionist, a data analyst, and a predictive modeler in a corporate office, where he tried his best to not make stuff up. (A fiction writer now, the irony isn’t lost on him.)
Drawn by the eclectic, he tends to blend genres in his writing, especially mystery, adventure, and fantasy. He is a strong proponent of diverse protagonists in commercial fiction.
He lives in Iowa with his beautiful wife and his son.
